Remarks:
The ascribed owner could be identical with the man who served during the reign of Amunhotep II and whose statue was found at Medamud and is now in the Louvre Museum (E 12926. Drioton 1927: 49-51). There is also the possibility that Maaninakhtef who appears on the stela in Leiden is the same official (V 39. Devéria 1897: 65-66, Pl. 2; Boeser 1913: 9, Pl. 19; Drioton 1933 [Rd'E 1]: 28-30).
A brother of the owner was a king's scribe Bengy and his wife was Tanetmennefer (Drioton 1933 [Rd'E 1]: 30). Bengy may have been the owner of one of # 260, # 527, or # 528. He may also have been the father of the owner of # 519.
Geßler-Löhr and Bohleke have described Maaninakhtef's career in detail (Geßler-Löhr 1990a; Bohleke 1991: 180-188).
