Remarks:
The ascribed owner is identical to that of # 307.
The inscription on both cones, # 306 and # 307, is identical, as is the design, which is symmetrical. It can be concluded that the maker of the two cones is the same, and that they were created at the same time. It is likely that the two cones were set into the façade of the tomb in a symmetrical manner. This would suggest that one cone was positioned at the right half of the façade, while the other cone, bearing a different type, was set at the left half.
There is a stela in Turin (inv. no. 1524) that mentions a certain individual named Hat, who held the title of Hrj-pDt (Fabretti 1881: 142; Maspero 1883 [Rec. Trav. 4]: 135). If we consider the soldier sign A12 along with three strokes as a part of the title, it is possible that the person and the owner of our cone refer to the same individual. However, it is noteworthy that there are no Hrj-pDt titles that are followed by these signs. Moreover, it is important to consider that while the name 'Hatmesha' is rare, it is not unique (cf. CG 1142. Borchardt 1934: 79-80).
