Findspots:
Two from near TT 179 (01-160 in Davies's notebook).
Unknown examples from TT 32 (Kákosy 1994: 31).
Two from TT 297 (Strudwick 2003: 22).
Remarks:
The ascribed owner is identical to that of # 315. Additionally, Davies and Macadam suggested that # 354 might also be attributed to him (01-128 & 160 in Davies's notebook and 04-012 in Macadam's Green file). However, it is not yet possible to be certain that Amunhotep also had other cones, until solid evidence is discovered.
The reason for Amunhotep creating two different cones, # 314 and # 315, remains unclear. Nevertheless, the handwriting on both indicates that they were most likely produced by the same person and (therefore) at almost the same time.
The owner chould have been the same official who was active under the reign of Thutmose III and appears in the wall painting in TT 82 (Davies and Gardiner 1915: 64, Pl. XVI).
Auenmüller posited that our Amunhotep was the owner of C.1, which was cut during Amunhotep III's reign (Auenmüller 2013: 939). However, taking into account the locations where our cone was discovered, it seems improbable.
