Findspots:
Unknown examples from around TT 386 at Asasif (Arnold and Settgast 1965 [MDAIK 20]: 61).
Two from Asasif (Hayes 1990: 35. MMA: 13.180.49 and 13.180.50).
Five from the foot of the causeway of Montuhotep (east of Asasif. Polz 2007: 151). The previously mentioned two examples by Hayes might have been found during this excavation as well.
One from TT 99 (Strudwick and Strudwick 2016: 53).
Remarks:
According to Heyler, the sign 'm' in the first line is Aa 14 in Gardiner’s list (Heyler 1959 [Kêmi 15]: 89).
This cone could potentially be among the oldest inscribed funerary cones, as two examples (13.180.49 and 13.180.50) preserved in the Metropolitan Museum of Art were discovered at the 17th-18th Dynasty Cemetery at Asasif, and the latter object measures, at least, 31.5 cm in length. Cones with considerable lengths such as this one are typically seen in this period.
