Findspots:
16 cones and one brick of # 304 and/or # 305 from the Tomb Z1 at Dra Abul Naga (Aglan 2020: 201-202, 206, 272-273, and 353-354). It is worth noting that page 206 specifies only 13 examples, as opposed to the previously stated 16+1. Vivó accounted for this discrepancy by suggesting that the excavators found a total of 13 conical cones, in addition to one brick with seal impressions of # 304 or # 305, as well as two cones of # 96 (Vivó 2022: 373. n. 40). However, the researchers discovered 17 examples of three cones (# 96, # 304, and # 305) in total, contrary to his assumption of 16 (as previously mentioned). It is noteworthy that in another article, Aglan states that 13 examples of # 304 were from there (Aglan 2022: 76).
Remarks:
A text written at a wall and two fragments of a stela from Z1 indicates that the tomb was constructed for our Amunemopet (Aglan 2020: 32-33).
# 304 and # 305 of Amunemopet share a similar design, while # 96 differs both in design and content. It can be concluded that the two cones were created by the same person, as they are almost identical. However, it is currently unknown why the creator made two cones that are nearly identical. In contrast to the previous two, # 96 includes the phrase 'mAa-xrw' after the owner's name and mentions Huy, the owner's wife. It is suggested that # 96 was created after # 304 and # 305, possibly after Amunemopet's marriage, and even after his death.
Heyler personally examined the cone and determined that the letter nw in the first line corresponds not to U 21, but to U 19 on Gardiner's sign list (Heyler 1959 [Kêmi 15]: 89).
