Findspots:
Many from TT 224 by Mackay (01-045 in Davies's notebook and 03-050 in Macadam's Red file).
Unknown examples from Qurna and Khokhah (Mond 1905 [ASAE 6]: 91, 95).
Remarks:
Vivó proved the existence of this cone (Vivó 2017).
The ascribed owner is identical to that of # 114.
The inscription on both cones, # 114 and # 115, is almost identical, as is the design. It can be concluded that the maker of the two cones is the same, and that they were created at the same time. However, the reason for the need for two almost identical cones, although slightly different, is unclear. This is a matter for further investigation.
Macadam writes that the title jmj-rA abw 'may reflect the qualities of a veterinary surgeon, since every animal is put under the holder’s care, even birds and fishes, and the most valuable, horses and cattle' (06-038 in his DALEX file 2).
