Remarks:
This example is stamped side by side with # 308 (cf. Roeder 1924: 292; Heyler 1959 [Kêmi 15]: Pl. XIII; Pomorska 1965: Pl. II). The one unearthed from the shaft of TT 41 (Assmann 1991: 243) also appears to bear both # 308 and # 340.
As an uncommon example, the British Museum houses a brick with a total of 37 seal impressions of # 308 + # 340 (BM: EA 35465). Bonomi suggested that was a trial impression by the manufacturer (Bonomi 1869: 97). For more details, see Vivó 2022: 56-57, 369.
As an additional example of an uncommon cone, the National Museum of Denmark houses a one bearing the # 308 on the side (inv. no. 9065).
NMS possesses a pyramidal type (NMS: A.1906.671). It is possible that the one kept in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (MFA Boston: RES.72.312) is of the same type.
