Daressy #: 126
Owner: TT 94 Ramose (Aamy)
Reasons: Inscription and provenience
Transliteration: jt-nTr TAy-xw wHmw-nswt tpj n nb tAwj aAmy
Translation: God's father, fan-bearer, first king's herald of the lord of the Two Lands, Aamy.
Date: A. II (Vivó 2022: 382).
Length: --
Colours: Purple-red face and 2.1 digits of the stem (01-104 in Davies's notebook).
Findspots:
Three from the 'Mond's magazine (= inner hall of TT 96. See Mond 1904 [ASAE 5]: 100)' (01-104 in Davies's notebook and 04-061 in Macadam's Green file).
One each of # 200 and/or # 248 from the tomb Z7 and from the tomb Z8 at Dra Abul Naga respectively (Aglan 2020: 204, 207, and 294). However, Aglan 2022: 76 states that two of # 248 were from the tomb Z6. It is unclear whether these objects are the same.
One from TT 94 (Al-Amir and Saad 2023: 709 and 718).
Remarks:
The ascribed owner is identical to that of # 248. There is a possibility that # 591 was also his, though I doubt it. See 'Remarks' section of # 591 for more details.
The dimensions, design, findspots, textual content and inscription style of # 200 and # 248 suggest that the maker of the two is the same and that they were created at the same time. The rationale behind the use of two distinct cones is evident; it is to acknowledge Amunemhat's titles that are mentioned in both cones.
