Colours: Davies describes the cone has a very red face and 2.0 digits of the stem under white. At the same time, he also describes the cone has very red pottery so the paint is not visible (01-123 in Davies's notebook). A further example is the cone, inv. no. N 707 00, which is located in the Louvre Museum. This appears to have been painted red on a white background.
