Davies either owned or knew of a brick from TT 345 (01-046 in Davies's notebook and 03-049 in Macadam's Red file).
It appears that # 95 was inscribed by an expert scribe, while # 121 and # 247 were inscribed by a less skilled individual. Regardless, the inscription style of all three cones suggests that the maker of them is a different individual to each other. Regarding the order of the making of the two cones, it is unclear. Furthermore, the reason for the need for three is also unclear. These are matters for further investigation.
An older brother of the owner of this cone is Neferhotep, the owner of # 301, 302, and # 359 since he is shown on the wall of TT 345 as well as his wife Amunhotep (Lepsius 1849–1859 [LD Taf. III]: 9; Sethe 1906 [Urk IV: II]: 106).
