Doctors and Surgeons were encountered about 20% of the time. While they are not the most frequent form of entity encounter, they are certainly one of the most provocative. Sometimes these examinations and dissections were performed by aliens, mantis beings, living gridlike structures, beings of light, indefinite entities and even clowns. In some cases the examinations were exploratory and in others for the purpose of healing, clearing out poisons and blockages. The parallels with both shamanic initiatory experiences are intriguing.
