This is a team activity.
It is a photo safari, where the students will "hunt" certain objects with a camera.
The teams are these:
The safari will take place in the schoolyard.
Time to "hunt" all the objects: 45 minutes.
Group roles:
TRACKERS: all the members of the group.
PHOTOGRAPHER (Material manager): thinks and look for the best locations to make their pictures. They carry the tablets and send the pictures to the teacher by classroom.
COORDINATOR: checks if everybody knows the instructions, keeps time control, decides what to do if there are no agreement. Talks to the teacher if it is needed.
HARMONIZER: keeps a good atmosphere within the group, watchs for the group not being too noisy and following the rules, encourages the participation, check the safety.
DOCUMENTALIST: fills the safari control sheet, writes a title for every picture, marks the place where the picture was taken.
SPEAKER: shows the pictures to the class and makes the corresponding explanations.
The things you should hunt are:
The highest prime number you can find.
Concentric circles.
A group of so many things that you can't count them.
An object with no curved lines.
An object made only by curved lines.
A lot of rectangles.
A sector of a circle and an arc of a circumference.
A triangle.
A group of similar things sorted by size.
A more-than-four-sided polygon.
A reflection.
A free picture.
A selfie of the group.
The best pictures will be exhibited in our school.
