Problema

Divisibility
Write out the first five multiples of the following numbers: 3, 5, 10, 11, 25, 50, 79 and 200. Example: M (3) = 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, ...
From the numbers below, write down those that are:
Multiples of 2:
Multiples of 3:
Multiples of 5:
Multiples of 6:
Multiples of 9:
30, 230, 455, 496, 520, 2080, 2100, 2745.
3. Find the biggest number smaller than 100 that is:
a multiple of 2
a multiple of 3
a multiple of 4
a multiple of 5
a multiple of 6
a multiple of 7
4. Find the smallest number that is bigger than 1000 that is:
a multiple of 6
a multiple of 7
a multiple of 8
Remember with this example: 3 is a is a factor or divisor of 15 because 15 : 3 = 5 (exact division). If 15 is a multiple of 3, then 3 is a divisor of 15. Given that,
5. Find all the divisors of 15, 16, 27, 44, 13, 37 and 108.
Example: D(15) = {1, 3, 5, 15} Look, 1 and 15 are also divisors. When you have found one factor (3), there is always another factor that goes with it (5) –unless the factor is multiplied by itself to give the number.
6. What does happen to 13 and 37?
Have a look at this divisibility rules page and then, do the test at the bottom.
7. Use the divisibility rules to check if the number 515902 is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5 and 11.
8. Which of the following numbers is a prime one: 21, 82, 31, 33.
9. Find the prime factors of 36, 100, 24, 98, 180, 120, 510 and 640.
11. From this box, choose one number that fits each of these descriptions.
a multiple of 3 and a multiple of 4
a square number and an odd number
a factor of 24 and a factor of 18
a prime number and a factor of 39
an odd factor of 30 and a multiple of 3
a number with 4 factors and a multiple of 2 and 7
a number with 5 factors exactly a multiple of 5 and a factor of 20
an even number and a factor of 36 and a multiple of 9
a prime number that is one more than a square number
12. Find these numbers:
Written in order, the four factors of this number make a number pattern in which each number is twice the one before
An odd number that is a multiple of 7.
