Objective: This course provides comprehensive concepts and knowledge of protistology and discusses its relationship with environments. Scientific articles are going to be read and discussed for the training of independent thinking and presentation.

Outline:
This course includes
1) Introduction of protist,
2) Cell structure of protist,
3) Classification and systematics of protist,
4) Morphology of protist,
5) Physiology of protist, and
6) Journal guided reading and discussion.
Teaching Method:
The course follows
1) Class lectures,
2) Journal guided reading
3) Team discussion and
4) Team presentation.

Course Schedule (subject to change):
According the outline of this course, the topics are going to be introduced and discussed as follows,
1) Introduction,
2) Introduction of protist,
3) Cell structure of protist,
4) Classification and systematics of protist,
5) Morphology of protist,
6) Physiology of protist, and
7) Journal guided reading and discussion. Week 17-18: Flexible supplement to the course, including incompleted lectures, guiding for spontaneous studies, relative experiments, meetings, et al.
