Objective:
This module draws upon the latest techniques, systems and thinking in production and operation management. The module develops, applies and consolidates learning through solving problems relating to the real world of production and operation management.

Outline:
Week 1-5: Introduction to Operations and Supply Chain Management; Strategy and Sustainability; Product and Service Design; Strategic Capacity Management
Week 6-11: Process Analysis; Production Processes; Service Processes; Six-Sigma Quality
Week 12- : Supply and Demand Planning; Enterprise Resource Planning Systems; Demand Management and Forecasting; Sales and Operations Planning; Scheduling; Constraint Management
Teaching Method:
1. Students need to prepare their own laptop with Windows 7 or later
2. Lectures on theoretical concepts, illustration by case studies discussion
3. Paper reading and presentation
