Course Description and Goals:
Documentation and publication of research results are an integral part of scientific activities. This course teaches students about these restrictions and mechanisms for creating and publishing scientific articles, whether journal articles or conference reports. Students will also learn how to make a proper presentation file and do an effective oral presentation. Note that it is not the purpose of this course to teach the student how to write English papers. However, one can apply the knowledge learned from this course to writing scientific papers in English or Chinese.
Schedule Type:
Every meeting''s discussion materials were assigned in the previous week. All students are required to read the assignment and prepare a presentation file. In every session, students are randomly selected to present their works. I will then present my ppt file, followed by a thorough discussion on the assigned materials. Each student must also choose a journal paper of their interests to analyze and discuss its merits. In this course, students will learn by reading and presentation.
