Objective:
1. To help students understand business from various facets and how enterprises implement the knowledge and concepts, which are described in the book, in their daily operations.
2. To train students to analyze the problems involved in business administration and management and try to fix them.
3. To guide students in writing reports and giving presentations.
Course Prerequisites: None
Outline: The course covers six topics, namely
1. The contemporary business world
2. Managing the business
3. People in organizations
4. Principles of marketing: building relationships with customers for competitive advantage
5. Managing information for better business decisions
6. The financial system and issues in financial management
Teaching Method: The course uses multiple teaching methods, including lectures, guided reading, group discussions etc.
