Course ID: B310345F
Credits: 2
Objective: The purpose of this course is to guide students in understanding the distinctions of marine biological environments within the vast ocean and the characteristics of biotic and abiotic factors in each zone. Through topic discussions, students will explore the roles of various biotic and abiotic factors in biological production processes, as well as the relationship between the temporal and spatial distribution of organisms and the fluctuations of environmental factors.
Course Prerequisites: Oceanography
Outline:
1.Introduction
2. Biotic environment
3. Abiotic environment
4. Spring bloom & primary production
5.Zooplankton
6. special topic discussion
Teaching Method:
Through slides or PowerPoint presentations, students will study the relationship between marine environments and biological ecology. They will also explore this relationship with fisheries through exercises or case studies, focusing on fundamental principles and methods.
