Course Description and Goals:
This is an introductory course teaching aquacultural engineering technologies and methods. The course subjects include analytical methods for aquacultural production, recirculation systems principles and equipment, and aquaculture related engineering techniques and applications. The purpose of this course is to introduce aquacultural engineering principles and equipment as a fundamental tool to modern aquaculture production, with particular emphasis on recirculating aquacultural systems.
This course will be taught mainly in an oral presentation format. Several experiments will be conducted depending upon the availability of equipment and space.

Course Schedule (subject to change):
1st week: Introduction
2nd week: Aquaculture systems experiment techniques
3rd -4th week: Aquaculture environment and basic equipment
5th-6th week: Measurement and monitoring techniques
7th-10th week: Recirculation aquaculture systems technologies and equipment
11th-12th week: Automation techniques and equipment
13th-14th week: Systems analysis
15th-16th week: Aquaculture systems design and application
All of the courses will be extended the class time for 6 minutes.
