Course Description and Goals:

Train students to have an in-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fields and understand the general engineering connotation, commonly used methodologies, the current development focus of various related mechanical engineering fields, ethics, professional responsibility, and the possible impact of engineering development on society. And a broader understanding of the essential humanistic qualities an engineer should possess. The course covers the connotation and related application fields of mechanical engineering. 

After completing this course, you should be able to: 

1. Able to use your vocabulary to explain the connotation and basic methodology of the project. 

2. Can explain the primary connotation of various mechanical engineering projects. 

3. Be able to explain the social responsibilities of engineers and the basic rules they should have in their own words. 

4. Able to communicate the results obtained to peers and instructor in writing or orally.
