Course Description and Goals:

1. To provide a comprehensive view of marine fungi.

 2. To enable students to have a better understanding on the importance of marine fungi with reference to their ecology and biotechnological potential.

This course encompasses various aspects of marine mycology including: isolation, diversity, morphology, origin, biogeography, physiology, ecology, biotechnology and bioremediation potential. 

Schedule Type:  

Other than lectures, students are required to submit a summary and a critique of a selected research article to train their logical and critical thinking skills. Poster and oral presentations are aimed to provide teamwork and presentation experience for the students.
