Objective: In virtue of the high-speed development of science and technology of electronic calculator nowadays, numerous numerical models are being enthusiastically established for the estimations of oceanic physical characteristics, which provide several reliable statistics for the design and construction of coastal structures. The sea wall jetty and detached breakwaters are traditionally adopted as absorbing facilities for the elimination of water wave energies. In Taiwan, starting from somewhere around the 80’s, the construction of coastal jetty and detached breakwaters were progressively adopted for coastal protection. Formerly, considerable quantities of armor units were piled outside the protecting embankment to achieve efficiency of absorptions, which in fact accomplished the purpose and ensure inland safety, effectiveness yet destroyed the landscape and ecological environment.
