Objective:
The objectives of this subject are to: understand the development and strategic planning at ports, including internal and external environmental analysis, the impact of economic and political factors on port development, and strategies and problems involved in international port operations and management. This subject can strengthen students’ knowledge and capabilities of port planning via discussions and reading of port related journal papers and case studies.

Teaching Method:
Lectures supplemented by activities such as tutorials, assignment, seminar, and presentations. Students are expected to read the relevant materials before lectures. In case of any learning issues, students are welcome to contact the instructors.
