Course ID: M37010EZ
Credits: 3
Objective:
Whether engaged in natural science or social science research, it is necessary to obtain representative research data through rigorous sampling survey and experimental design, and then make correct analysis and results. In this process, sampling survey is the basic knowledge for conducting research work. This course is to introduce the principles and methods of sampling survey as the basis for students to engage in related research in the future.
Course Prerequisites: None
Outline: This course will begin with a brief introduction to two common types of survey methods: quantitative and qualitative surveys. Next, it will cover the basic concepts of sampling surveys, including simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, proportion, regression and difference estimation, systematic sampling, and cluster sampling. Finally, the course will introduce methods for analyzing different types of data. Through case exercises, students will gain a more concrete and in-depth understanding of sampling surveys and result analysis.
Teaching Method: Class Lecture
