Course Description and Goals:

Introduction to the electro-optical Bio-sensors applied in Bio-Medical and explain the optics theory and technology used by them.

Schedule Type:  Oral lectures with teaching assistant materials. 

Course Schedule (subject to change):

1) Introduction (1 week) 

(2) Introduction to Bio-sensors (2 weeks) Technologies of Gene chip, DNA microarray chip, microfluidics biochip and the technology

(3) Platforms and fabrication of the biochips (1 week) 

(4) Optical biochips (0.5 weeks) Biochips (0.5 weeks) Optical sensing technologies Surface plasmon resonance technology (2 weeks) Ellipsometry (2 weeks) Optic wave guide technology (2 weeks) 

(5) Peizoelectric sensing technologies (2 weeks) QCM、SAW、LOVE wave The kinetics interaction theory and Stoichiometry of biomolecules between the
