1902. President Lance Morris N4GMT opened the meeting, and began introductions of attendees. Treasurer John Parrish KD4EUZ gave his report, which was moved, seconded and acclaimed accepted.
Field Day (June 26-27) preparation—there may be some at WKNO-DT/FM on Friday afternoon. We can use the old analog (NTSC) TV room, the DTV room, and the office.
1908. Ham Hilliard W4GMM reported on the bus trip to the Huntsville Hamfest for Saturday August 21. The present price is $45, paid before Field Day.
Ned Savage KA4BLL is looking for volunteer operators for the Memphis in May Triathalon. Operations will use the 146.82 MHz repeater. He needs three for the back course in vehicles, three in the front, and one in the medical tent, and a NCS. About nine people in all, for Sunday May 23 in Orgill Park off Orgill-Rosemark Road. The road into the park will close at 0630, please enter for setup and 0600. Should be done by 1430. Write ka4bll@arrl.net, or call 484-1682 cell.
We have good reports, per President Lance, from Freefest vendors seen at the Dayton Hamfest. Good fundraising for Le Bonheur Childrens' Hospital.
We want signage for the next use of Bartlett Town Center.
Randy VanVoorhis W4RMV told us of the software deal as a non-profit. There are Symantic, Norton, and six Microsoft titles. Windows 7 Pro upgrade 32-bit and 64-bit. XP Pro is available, as is Office 2007, can get upgrade to Office 2010. Also Visio (CAD), PDF Publisher. Vista is still available, then upgrade to Windows 7. Orders need to be in at our next Club meeting, June 17. Order forms are available tonight. Last minute orders on Field Day. Order goes in on Monday after, June 28.
