Kaidence’s Cordon Bleu Casserole, BY JELES
Ingredients:
2 lb Chicken (cooked & Shredded)
6-8 oz ham slices or cut into bite size
4 oz butter melted
1/4 cup Heavy cream
8 oz cream cheese softened
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp white wine (optional)
1 oz lemon juice
½ tsp salt & Pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
6 oz Sliced Swiss cheese (or shredded, your choice)
1/4 cup of Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Chives (for garnish)(optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350*
Put the cooked chicken in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish
Layer the top of the chicken with pieces or slices of ham
In a large bowl combine:
Melted butter, softened cream cheese, Heavy cream, white wine (Optional), mustard, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, shredded Parmesan cheese and mix well (use hand mixer)
A thick Sauce will form
Spread sauce over the chicken/ham in the baking dish
Lay the slices of swiss cheese on top of the sauce
Bake for 30-40 minutes
I broiled it for the last 2 minutes so the cheese would get more golden (keep an eye on it so not to burn)
Remove from the oven garnish with chopped Chives (optional)
(If you like crunch top off with 1/4 cup of crushed Pork rinds)
