RELEASE OBJECTS YOU LOCKED

If you are in a project file you may have caused Revit to 'lock' objects you have touched. This includes sheets and views, not just model elements.

Revit does this because it thinks you are editing them and has locked them to prevent anyone else changing them.

But at any time you can 'relinquish' all objects you have touched so others have access to them again.

Keep in mind that NO-ONE can edit these locked objects, and if you are not around to unlock them no work can be done on them.

If you have a project file open and walk away from your computer make sure you relinquish first.

If Revit crashes open the file again and relinquish (or Save and select Relinquish in the save dialog).

Under the Collaborate tab, select Relinquish All Mine.
