What:
Views Templates allow you to save values of all the parameters that views contain (similar to saving Layer settings in AutoCAD, but much more powerful).
View Templates only apply to same view types - i.e. Plan view templates are different to elevation view templates.
Note that view templates must have a unique name, independent of which type they are.
Why:
View Templates can be applied to multiple views so they appear the same when printed.
They can also be used to make limited changes, like just turn off Imported Categories from CAD files.
How:
By saving standardised View templates following naming protocols.
View Templates designed for preserving settings for printing can be applied to multiple sheets views the Project Browser just before printing.
Who:
Printing view templates must only be created with agreement of the project Model Manager.
Single Purpose and Working view templates should be discussed with the project Model Manager.
