Use this method to create a schedule in Excel from Revit data that has parameter values across the horizontal axis.
Typically area schedules are like this.
REVIT SCHEDULES
Create a Revit schedule for each column in Excel spreadsheet.
Filter so correct data is displayed.
Sort & Group by Level, have Level footer with title and totals.
Hide Level parameter.
Export schedules.
EXCEL WORKSHEETS
In Excel import Revit schedule txt file to its own worksheet. Name worksheet same as Revit export filename.
Create a Named Range of the data. Give it the same name as the worksheet. Include blank cells below to allow for future additional lines of data.
Repeat for each Revit schedule export.
In the final output worksheet place VLOOKUP formulas that get data from Revit import worksheets.
Add Conditional formatting that identifies cells that have formulas.
