MANUAL (FAKE) REFERENCING
Revit offers an easy way to ‘fake’ section markers, elevation markers and callouts.
Use this to reference details at more than one place, or to reference Drafting Views that are not based on an actual cut through the model.
Create the reference after your section, elevation or callout view has been created.
Go to:
View > Section or Elevation or Callout.
In the options bar tick the Reference other view box.
Under New Drafting View select the view you wish to reference.
Draw your annotation.
Note:
‘Fake’ Callouts can reference Detail, Drafting, Floor Plans, Area Plans and RCP views.
‘Fake’ Section markers can reference Detail & Drafting Section views, and Elevationonal Detail, Drafting and Elevation views.
You will have to find the view by its View Name, not its Title on Sheet.
Make sure your views names describe what the view is showing.
