PROBLEM:
You copy objects using Modify > Copy or Ctrl C, but when you use Modify > Paste or Ctrl V nothing gets pasted.
Or only some objects get pasted.
CAUSE:
Objects locked for editing can not be copied - Revit ignores them.
This seems to only occur when copying between project files that have workset enabled, and the worksets have the same names.
(e.g. when a copy has been made of a workset file and you try and copy and paste between the copy and the original project files.)
SOLUTION:
You need to make the objects editable.
Either take ownership of the whole workset(s) or just the objects you are copying.
Individually make each object editable by clicking on the unlock symbol before copying:
OR
Under Collaborate tab > Worksets change the workset(s) to Editable:
(keep in mind no-one will be able to work on anything in those worksets until you Relinquish them)
