2. In the New Schedule dialog, do the following:
a. For Category, click + next to Mass, then Mass Floor.
b. For Name, specify the schedule name.
c. Select Schedule building components.
d. Click OK.
3. In the Schedule Properties dialog, do the following:
a. On the Fields tab, select the desired fields.
b. Use other tabs to specify filtering, sorting, and formatting of the schedule.
c. Click OK.
TIPS:
For scheduling mass floors in Linked files refer below.
If you have more than one mass and want separate schedules add the Mass: Family (or Mass: Type depending how you are creating your masses) field and filter by the Mass name.
Get totals by ticking Grand Totals in Sorting/Group tab, and under the Formatting tab tick Calculate totals for each parameter you want totaled.
You can create Calculated Value fields for performing calculation (use the Calculate Value... button on Fields tab).
Cells can be colour coded if certain values are reached by going to the Formatting tab and using the Conditional Format... button against each parameter you want colour coded.
The schedule displays in the drawing area. If you included the Usage field in the schedule, you can assign a usage to each mass floor in the schedule.
SCHEDULING LINKED FILES
To include linked files in a schedule on Field tab of schedule properties:
Tick Include elements in links
Change Select available fields from: to RVT Links
Use Add button to move RVT Link: File Name or RVT Link: Name to Scheduled fields column.
(RVT Link: File Name is the linked file's file name without .rvt; RVT Link: Name is a name you can give a Linked file by changing the Name parameter. By default Revit gives link's a sequential number as a name).
Then use a Filter to filter for the particular linked file you want in the schedule.
You can hide the RVT Link: File Name field in your schedule.
If you use RVT Link: Name field instead you can name it whatever you like and have it show in your schedule.
Using contains as the test instead of equals is more robust.
e.g. contains Option 2 instead of equals 1433_Massing-Option 2.
