ORIENTATE 3D VIEW TO A SECTION

By aligning a 3D view to a section you can orientate the 3D view to be parallel to the face of an object.

First create a section facing the object:

Then create a 3D view of the area, (i.e. turn on the Section box in the view) and set its orientation to match the section:
