In Revit you can print one sheet (the sheet you are looking at) or print multiple sheets.
If printing multiple sheets to PDF you can either print individual PDF drawings, or a single multi-page PDF.
SINGLE DRAWING
Find and open the sheet you want to print (see FIND A SHEET (DRAWING)
Click on the purple R in top left corner, then Print.
The Print dialog box will appear:
Select a printer (always print to PDF before sending to a paper print - save a tree).
Browse to where you want the PDF to be saved to (generally C:\_plots) and give it a name.
Check Current window.
If Settings does not match your paper size click on Setup...
The Print Setup dialog box appears.
Under Name: see if there is a setting already created for your paper size and printer.
Check Paper Size is correct.
Check Paper Placement is Center.
Check Zoom is 100% (unless doing a 50% reduction - e.g. A1 to A3)
Check all the Hide tick boxes are checked.
If doing a line drawing use Vector processing, if doing a coloured shade or render use Raster processing.
When done hit OK (you can save your settings for next time by hitting Save As button).
You will be back at the Print dialog.
You can Preview your print by hitting the Preview button (make sure you hit Print in preview mode, not just OK, otherwise it won't be printed).
OK to print, Close to save changes you made and not print (Revit remembers the changes you made until you close the file).
If you haven't made any changes then QUIT WITHOUT SAVING.
If you have made changes you want to keep then SAVE & CLOSE.
MULTIPLE DRAWINGS
To print multiple drawings go to the Print dialog as described above.
Under Print Range pick Selected views/sheets.
Then Select... button
The View/Sheet Set dialog appears.
Under Name: see if a Sheet Set already exists.
Untick Views to only see sheets.
Check correct sheets are selected.
Add or remove sheets by ticking or unticking.
If a Sheet Set doesn't exist.
Hit Check None (Revit remembers the last sheets ticked).
Untick Views to only see sheets.
Tick the sheets you want to print.
If you want to save the selection you made hit the Save As.. button.
Give the sheet set a name that everybody will understand, or place an X-yourintial prefix (e.g. X-BH_facade details).
Hit OK and you will be back at the Print dialog box.
To print a multi-page PDF select Combine multiple selected views/sheets into a single file.
Otherwise select Create separate files. (Revit will use its own wacky way of naming individual files).
Hit OK and done!
If you haven't made any changes then QUIT WITHOUT SAVING.
If you have made changes you want to keep then SAVE & CLOSE.
