ISSUING NAVISWORKS EXPORTS

Note this process can be done as part of issuing the Revit model itself.

Refer to ISSUING REVIT MODELS.

INSTALLATION

Make sure NWC export add-in has been installed. You will see it under the Export Menu:

If it is not installed install it. Add-in is available free from AutoDesk.

REMOVE LINKS and TEMP WORKSETS

1. Open project Revit file, Sync to Central.

2. Save As.

3. In the save as dialog box pick Options button.

4. Tick Make Central file - VERY IMPORTANT!

5. Save to location where the file will be issued from (create the folder if it doesn't exist)

6. Give it file name:

7. filename_isodate (e.g. 1567_SHT15_main_20131016)

8. Remove all links except Site.

9. Unload site link.

10. Open view Z_WORKSETS - TEMP. Delete everything in that view.

CREATE NAVISWORKS EXPORT

1. Go to sheet Z_3D View for Export

2. Export > NWC.

3. Hit Navisworks settings... button. Refer to SETTINGS below.

4. Save to location where the file will be issued from (create the folder if it doesn't exist).

5. Name the file as per project protocols, including next revision.

6. (e.g. MD-AR-00001-19.rvt)

7. Close file
