These instruction are on how to access a project in Newforma.
The actual setup of projects can only be done by a Newforma administrator.
ADD A PROJECT TO MY PROJECTS
Start Newforma
Go to Project Center by clicking on filing cabinet icon.
Click on All Projects tab
Scroll to find the project you want to add, highlight it.
(you can Sort - click on a heading, Search - type into the box at top of a column, and Filter - click on a funnel icon)
Click on Add to My Projects in left column.
(a dialogue box will appear telling you it is adding folders to Outlook).
Click on the My Projects tab and it should be listed along with your other projects.
OPEN A PROJECT
Before you can do anything in Newforma you have to open a project.
Start Newforma.
Go to Project Center by clicking on filing cabinet icon.
Click on My Projects tab (is default so should be already selected).
Select the project you want to open.
Select Open from left menu
or double click on highlighted project.
CHECK IT IS CONNECTED TO INFO EXCHANGE SERVER
To create transmittals the project has to be connected to Newformas 'Info Exchange' server.
To check if it is connected:
Go to Project Home Page by clicking on the house icon.
Click on Info Exchange in the main panel
If there are no menu commands under Tasks in the left menu column then the project is not connected to Newforma's Info Exchange server.
You will need to get someone to connect it.
