INSTALL NEWFORM REVIT ADDIN

Make sure your version of Revit is ticked.

Open Revit.
Go to the Newforma tab, click on Connect button.
If necessary Register the Revit Building Model with Newforma.
MAP REVIT PARAMETERS TO NEWFORMA
Newforma tab > Document Control button > Synchronize and Add Revisions
A warning dialog will appear if this is the first time.
Hit Yes.
The Synchronize and Add Revisions dialog box will appear.
Hit Sync Settings… button top right.
Drag Revit parameters from the top list to matching Newforma parameters in list below
Note the ones in the screenshot below may need to be added. Check the others are there, if not add them.
Hit OK when finished.
PUBLISH SETTINGS
Back at the Synchronize and Add Revisions dialog box hit Publish settings bottom left.
Fill in Publish Sheets to PDF PDF File Location: by selecting the button to right, browse to your local _plot folder.
(the Publish Sheets to PDF command only prints PDFs, it doesn’t add them to Newforma).
You can leave Create separate subfolder for each publish ticked if you want, it is up to you.
Next Synchronize and Add Revisions PDF File Location:, should be 07 NEWFORMA\00 Drawings in the projects folder structure.
Untick Create separate subfolder for each publish.
(we want latest drawings to be in one place).
Edit Individual sheet PDF file names to suit your project. Use underscore (_) as prefix to [CurrentRevisionNumber], as as suffix if [SheetName] used.
a. Add number prefix as usually Revit SheetNumber doesn’t include the prefix.
b. [SheetNumber] field
c. [CurrentRevisionNumber] field
d. [SheetName] field
Placing the drawing title (SheetName field) at the end of the name makes it easy for everyone to know what a drawing contains. However some project management systems may not allow it (e.g. Aconex).
Edit Combined sheet PDF file names to suit your project or yourself if they are only done as checkplots.
(It easier to use native Revit printing for check plots).
Click OK when finished.
