IDENTIFY REVISIONS IN A VIEW

PROBLEM:

You want to delete a view but get this message:

Can not delete view, contains issued revisions.

When you try and delete a Revision Cloud in the view you get this message:

The Revision of this Revision Cloud has been issued. Deletion of this Revision Cloud is prohibited.

CAUSE:

There are some Revision Clouds, marked as 'Issued', in this view.

SOLUTION 1:

Create a New Sheet, use a title block with a revision schedule on it.

Place the 'orphaned' view on the sheet.

The Revision Schedule will show the Revision Clouds that are in the view.

Note: Make sure the schedule has been set up to show all revisions.

SOLUTION 2:

Make a New Sheet

Place the 'orphaned' view on the sheet.

Now you have access to the 'Revision on Sheet' button from the Sheet View.

The Revision Clouds that exist in that view will be 'greyed' out in the dialog box.

TO DELETE THE VIEW:

Un-issue the identified Revision/s from Mange tab > Additional Setting > Sheet Issues/Revisions .

Find the Revision Clouds in the view.

Delete the Clouds.

Delete the View.

Delete the sheet you created.
