CREATE TITLE BLOCKS FOR YOUR PROJECT
BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES MAKE COPIES OF THE TITLE BLOCKS YOU WANT TO USE AND PUT THEM IN YOUR PROJECT'S FAMILY FOLDER.
These can be found in the approved family library at:
...\Libraries\Approved Library\Annotations\Titleblocks
Then edit each one:
Edit consultant/client text to suit your project. Delete or add text as required.
Add logos (avoid image imports, do NOT use CAD imports - create Revit detail components instead).
Hint: After making changes Copy (ctrl+C) changed entities and Paste into other sheets.
DO NOT delete any Label entities (Label entities refer to parameters, you can control if they appear or not via visibility parameters).
If you intend using a sheet no. prefix be aware that prefix of 2 characters is allowed for. If you have more move the prefix label and sheet no. label to suit.
(to identify the relevant labels select a label and read its type name.)
Delete the blue descriptive text. (don't delete the blue lines, they can be turned off once the family is loaded into your project file).
MANAGE TITLE BLOCKS IN YOUR PROJECT
Once loaded into your project use type parameters of the title block to set how they will appear. e.g. whether sheet no. prefix and/or revision suffixes will be used.
Use Show non-print parameter to hide blue lines.
Note that Labels in these titleblock show the VIEW parameters of the view a title block exists in, and PROJECT INFORMATION parameters, these can not be altered by changing any of the family parameters.
FAMILY TYPES in STANDARD TITLE BLOCKS
Standard title blocks have 3 Types setup:
Drg is Project North
Drg is True North
No North Symbol
use where views are oriented to Project North (note that North Symbol Angle CCW parameter will need to be set)
use where views are oriented to True North, e.g. site or location plans (note that North Symbol Angle CCW parameter will need to be set)
Use where North has no meaning like Elevations & Sections
Create any further types you need within your project by duplicating one of these types.
Use the parameters below to manipulate how they will appear.
FAMILY PARAMETERS TO CONTROL TITLE BLOCK'S APPEARANCE
All family parameters, except Show Sheet Status, are Type parameters - they change ALL title blocks of the current type, not just the one you are looking at.
VIEW PARAMETERS USED IN STANDARD TITLE BLOCKS
These are parameters of the sheet view the title block exists in. They can be scheduled view a Sheet List schedule.
Note that not all view parameters available, whether shared or not, are used by the standard title block.
Parameters with .SH suffix are shared parameters.
PROJECT INFORMATION PARAMETERS USED IN STANDARD TITLE BLOCKS
Project information parameters are found under Manage > Project Information. Values entered here appear on ALL sheets.
