White Gold Wielder is an exciting tale of mystery and magic. The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant is a beloved series to many. In the early 90’s, White Gold Wielder captured the hearts of many West Coast Americans. It paved the path for countless books set in the 40’s. The story is a crisp one and sure to be enjoyed for many generations to come.
White Gold Wielder starts with a couple from Israel, Thomas and Ashley Covenant, and her brother, Jasen. Thomas and Ashley are on their, honeymoon in Egypt. They run into some trouble with a magical street urchin, who, transformed Thomas into a half man, half four legged beast. Ashley and her brother Jasen, must find a way to reverse the spell.
As they try to find the street urchin who did this to Thomas, they find many angry faces. Soon after, they find they must join an Egyptian cult to obtain an audience with a sorcerer. The only way to join the cult is to leave all their past religion and history. Ashley thinks the life of her husband is too important for selfish actions. She agrees to go forth with the initiation to the cult.
Now, part of the Egyptian cult, Ashley got an audience with the sorcerer leader, Ashley begged him to reverse the spell cursed upon her husband. Ashley, finds the only way to reverse the spell, is to sacrifice herself for Thomas.
White Gold Wielder, a continuation of The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, is a suspenseful and dramatic story of love and magic that relate to the qualities of the people of the 40’s. It is beloved for both its romantic appeal and its integrity. This book gives the sense of true love to its audience.
