Soup on Ice is a fantasy adventure, mystery book by a new undiscovered author, Robert Newton Peck. Soup on Ice has gotten many awards for the creativity and adventure of this book. This is a fun book for kids to read about Santa and his two friends, Carl and Jeff, who try and figure out a mystery about who stole the missing Christmas present.
In the North Pole, a month before Christmas day, Santa and his two best elf friends were busy making and wrapping Christmas presents. Carl and Jeff hear that someone is sick and they make a special present of warm soup. They spend a long time making the perfect soup for the sick child and eventually it is finished.
The two adventurers woke up one morning and they found that the soup was stolen. They walked outside and found that there were footprints outside of the building. Carl and Jeff decided to follow the footprints and find the thief that stole the soup.
They travel for a long time, and eventually the footprints start to disappear. Carl and Jeff are faced with a big snowstorm but they realize they are not alone. After a long time, they find reindeer that are willing to help them by flying a sleigh. They fly quickly down to Canada and soon find the footprints again. They eventually get back on track and they continue to follow the trail. With time running out until Christmas day, will the crew ever find the missing soup?
Soup on Ice is a great childrens book with lots of mystery and adventure. This book is great for ages ten through fourteen and it’s lots of fun to read. Join Santa, Carl, and Jeff as they go on an epic adventure to find the missing soup.
