Dreamhunter
Knox, Elizabeth. Dreamhunter. Square Fish. New York. 2011
Dreamhunter is the first book of the Dreamhunter Duet, and was written by Elizabeth Knox. She describes everything perfectly, so it is easy to imagine. This book has romance, adventure, blood, and more. The age range for reading this book is thirteen and older.
Dreamhunter is about a girl named Zoey. Who learns, that she isn’t entirely human. Zoey is half angel, half human. On Zoey’s seventeen birthday, her whole world changes. Her parents are murdered by an Inkubus, she meets a stranger who tells her she’s not entirely human, and an evil being tries to enchant her into doing whatever he says.
While Zoey was walking home on her 17th birthday, after spending the evening with her friends, a stranger comes out of the shadows and walks next to her. Zoey starts picking up her speed, because she finds it strange, but the stranger picks up his speed as well. Zoey stops walking, and so does the stranger, so she says “May I help you with something?” The stranger answers by stepping closer to Zoey and caressing her cheek. He says, “I want you to come with me.” So Zoey decides to run.
When Zoey gets home, she is panting and completely freaked out. When she gets inside, she hears a strangling sound, and when she turns the corner, she sees her father lying on the floor in a puddle of blood, with his head the wrong way. He was dead. And her mother was against the wall with a strange creature strangling her. When the creature noticed Zoey, he gave her a devilish smile and bit into her mother neck. Zoey realized her mother was dead. So she ran.
Elizabeth Knox is an amazing author. This book, is a pageturner, it will keep the readers on the edge of their seats, until the last page. Don’t miss out on Dreamhunter.
