The Game of Silence is about a seven year old girl named Karen, whose parents are murdered while they are on vacation in their cabin retreat. A week later, a mother bear finds Karen. The mother bear helps her by bringing her food each day.
Karen has been living with the mother bear for five years until she is twelve. She is out picking berries when she hears a roar and a gunshot. Karen runs as fast as she can to the cave where she lives and finds the mother bear lying dead. Karen swears that she will have revenge on the person that has killed the mother bear. She then takes all she needs and sets off to get her revenge.
Karen wanders through the forest for days stalking the person that has killed the mother bear that had nurtured her back to life when she was little. She follows the tracks to a cliff where she can see a town in the distance.
She lives in town as a maid to a man who she never sees, After about four months, she finally sees him sipping tea by the fireplace. She knew that the face was familiar. It was the man from the night that her parents were murdered, and she knew it, she couldn’t be wrong.
The Game of Silence is a book that really expresses itself and pulls the reader into it. The book leaves the reader wondering what will happen next. This book really touches the readers heart and makes them feel sad and happy at many points in the book. The Game of Silence is a very good book for young adults
