The Arkadians is an adventure book written by a famous author, Lloyd Alexander. It was written in 1754. Readers all over will enjoy reading this exciting, joyful book, because of its exciting storyline.
The Arkadians is about a group of travelers, named The Arkadians. They have adventures everywhere looking for treasures. During their adventures, they find a series of letters that slowly spell out, “Find the Spider Temple and you will be richer than you could ever guess.”
Off they traveled into the dark woods. They ran into many guardians of the land. They try to ask them where the “Spider Temple” is. It only causes more trouble, and the guardians start attacking the Arkadians. The Arkadians had to fight them off.
The Arkadians continued on. Now and then the Arkadians would run into signs saying, “Spider Temple” with an arrow pointing in a direction. They had to stop every so often to get more water and food. This got harder and harder since there was less vegetation and water as they ventured forth.
They traveled for what seemed like ages. Finally, they saw what looked like a big, white, stone building. They had to sneak past many guardians. Some they had to fight. After about half a day of fighting and running, they got to the stone building. The leader of the Arkadians opened the door and saw a gigantic spider...
The Arkadians is a very well thought out book. This book is filled with excitement and happiness, even though parts can be extraordinarily sad and dramatic. Lloyd Alexander did a fantastic job, of writing an exciting book. This is a great book for either beginner readers, or advanced readers.
