After days of wandering, he finds a cave with a cool pond in its depths, and decides to make it his new home. After gathering grass from the savanna, he makes himself a bed by the pool and falls into a deep sleep. The next morning he wakes up to the sound of footsteps. He peers around the wall of the cave and finds that others have made it their home. Majestic creatures, with their heads carried high and their long manes flowing in the cool morning breeze, were standing there.
Liam is fascinated by the gorgeous lions, so he decides to introduce himself. “Hello there Mr. Lion” he says, but there is no reply so, he tries again, a little louder this time, “HELLO MR. LION!” he yells. This time the biggest lion turns around to see who is disturbing him, and to his surprise the lion finds a little boy standing at his feet. As the lion and Liam came to know each other better, the lion takes the little boy under his wing, teaching him the plants that are edible and teaching him how to hunt. Soon enough, the little boy was one of the lions playing with the cubs and sleeping in their dens.
