Foundation’s Edge is about Ballentine, a curious cyborg who wakes up one day to find that the world where he lives is in ruins. The only way to escape to Utopia is to protect his friends and find meaning in his life.
Ballentine was a normal cyborg who lived on an unknown world. the reason why it was so unknown is because he doesn’t know how he got there or who he is. His first days on this dreadful planet were long and lonely. Ballentine did not realize things were going to get a lot worse. After traveling for four miles, Ballentine finds a city filled with cyborgs like him. He was really happy that he was not alone. For the next few weeks he was overjoyed to have friends. The sight of a city with cyborgs in it put a thought in Balentine’s head: there must be more people and he wasn’t alone in this deserted planet.
Ballentine had found an old laboratory. Inside he found a switch that Ballentine was too curious to not pull. The room began shaking furiously. Ballentine immediately regretted his mistake. Ballentine peeked outside to find a glow in the distance. He stood on a pillar so that he could see what was going on; a portal to another dimension stood out in front of him. Out of the portal came an army of bug eyed creatures which were not like the cyborgs as they were made from flesh instead of metal. They did not look like they wanted peace. The beasts went and seiged the village. Ballentine knew he had to save his friends, but how?
