The Invaders is a sensational series continued, by the amazing author John Flanagan. Because of its adventurous qualities, this breathtaking book has become a favorite of teens and young adults all around America.
The Invaders is a story about a small village that gets attacked by evil soldiers working for a foul king. Little does the village know that a young tailor Caspian will save them all. The horrible soldiers come to each house to gather all the money that the poor village has. Caspian is very annoyed by this invasion, but he has no option and gives the soldiers all he has, for he is no more than a poor tailor. Later that day, Caspian dug a little hole in his floor of his house. His mother asked what he was doing? He looked at her and whispered, “I’m going to hide my money here.” His mother knew that he would get caught, but she sighed and walked away. After digging the hole he hid his earnings for today in there. He kept a few dollars.
A few months later, there was a bomb blast in the small village. Everything was set on fire. People were getting burnt, people were dying, and children were bruised. This made Caspian furious. He wondered “What did we ever do to that old nasty king?”
Caspian saved all his money for ten months. Until he had enough money to buy a shield and a sword. Caspian took his shield and sword into a small cave he found. He practiced in there for two months and did not leave his cave. He wanted to defeat the king. After much intense practice Caspian felt that he was ready. When he returned home there was blood and gore everywhere. There had been a war. Caspian tightened his shield against his arm and charged for the group of soldiers. He decapitated all of their heads one by one. Everybody looked at him in amazement. He put his sword in the air and yelled, “For peace and harmony.” Everybody put their weapons in the air and yelled, “For peace and harmony.” They all headed for the evil king’s castle. The villagers held down the soldiers and told Caspian to go and kill the king. Once Caspian got there, the king said, “Ah! I have been expecting you.”
The Brotherband Chronicles:The Invaders is a very descriptive and thrilling book. The action will make you jump and the sad moments will make your cry. This is a very good book and once it has been started it will feel as if it will never end. This is a must read book.
