North is about a girl named Doli that lives in the North Pole by herself. She survives by eating whatever she can find and by drinking the icy ocean waters. She is extremely depressed, and that is when she meets an unlikely visitor.
Doli was just sitting in her small hut, when she looked outside and saw that there was something watching her. It was a wolf! The wolf walked closer to Doli, but she wasn’t scared. The wolf turned out to be extremely nice, and they became friends. Doli decided to name the wolf Jack.
Doli and Jack worked really hard together to live in the harsh conditions, and occasionally had fun playing in the snow. One day, there was a big winter storm and Doli and Jack got separated and couldn’t find each other. They journey through the snowy North Pole in search of each other for a long time.
It’s not an easy time for Doli. She faces many problems such as not finding any food, running into big polar bears, icy storms, and avalanches She is still very sad that she can’t find Jack, and keeps looking. She wonders if they will ever find each other again.
North is an inspiring book that will keep readers on the edge of their seats at all times. Explore the North Pole with Doli as she searches for her lost wolf in the coldest place on Earth.
