A Scholar of Magics, by the author Caroline Stevermer, is a fiction book about magical powers. It is a very serious book that draws you in with action and reality. This book has been popular around the world since 1972.
A Scholar of Magics, is about a young girl named Rosalie, who has been sent away by her parents to live with her Uncle Edward, who she has never met.
Her uncle Edward has been staying up late at night in the room he calls his “study” making a lot of noise. One day, Rosalie snuck into Edward’s “study” and saw the he was levitating some of his things onto shelves. Rosalie gasped at the sight. Edward then told Rosalie about their family secret: her whole family has magical powers.
Rosalie just laughed and didn’t believe Edward. He explained that the reason she was sent to him was to help learn how to protect herself against the “dark side” and their evil leader. Rosalie’s evil aunt, Cruella.
Caroline Stevermer’s fiction book is full of magic powers and spells. It leaves you wondering, “what comes next?” In the next book, A Magic’s Treasure, Cruella and Rosalie go looking for Edward because he had a unexpected disappearance.
